About the Event
Please join Women+ in Design Pittsburgh as we welcome Despina Stratigakos, author of "Where Are the Women Architects?," and Lori Brown, FAIA, founder of ArchiteXX, a gender equity architecture organization transforming the profession by bridging the academy and practice.
In partnership with students and faculty at the University of Pittsburgh, we will be adding and expanding entries for women designers across industries including architecture, landscape architecture, interior design, graphic design, and engineering to the online resource.
No prior Wikipedia editing experience is necessary, lists of female designers will be provided, and additional entry ideas are welcome. Computers will be available, but you may bring your own laptop. Tutorials for beginner Wikipedians will begin at 10 am, and you are free to come and go as you wish throughout the event. Breakfast will be provided.
