The women of Franklin had a wonderful time hosting the Women+ in Design for a happy hour on July 21 at Franklin’s Strip District showroom. Thirty guests enjoyed a delectable assortment of appetizers from women-owned Pittsburgh caterer, Black Radish Kitchen, and canned wine from the ladies at DrinkBev.
Of course, we weren’t only here to mingle and enjoy a sunny summer evening on the rooftop deck overlooking downtown. We also discussed the night’s theme, “Collaborating Efficiently and Happily in the Hybrid Workplace,” during a series of small group sessions.
Topics centered on the etiquette and protocols of hybrid work, ways to build and maintain relationships when working from home, pet peeves of hybrid collaboration, and in-office changes that facilitate hybrid work.
As our small groups rotated through the different discussion topics, we learned that half of the night’s attendees are in an office at least four days per week. Despite Zoom, Slack, email, and phone calls, it seems like the most popular way to connect is still over an in-person cup of coffee or during happy hour drinks. Lucky for us, we have more W+iD happy hours to look forward to!
Check out this slideshow of the data we collected over the course of the evening!
